The Texas Education Agency (TEA) recognizes the importance of understanding overlooked students to identify culturally diverse individuals for G/T services. Literature suggests pre-service teachers with abroad experiences show enhanced cultural competency, aiding equitable identification of gifted students from underrepresented groups. Globalized teachers are vital for a diverse educational workforce.
